How I spent Mom's Day

First off let me tell you and remind you later that I love my mother in law, I do, I really do, I got very lucky to have a great mother in law, ok with that said let me tell you about my day, because after all I am a mommy to my wonderful puppies.
6 am... get hubby his coffee and bagel, yummy...
6:15 arrive at home to 2 rambunctious puppies who really want to go for a walk,NOW!
6:20 walk puppies, yell to B "start getting up" 'cause this takes about 10 min on his own
6:40 arrive back at home with 2 very pleased puppies
6:45 get B set up with his breakfast, he really enjoys his bagel, give pain meds
7 am get B back to bed to play PSP or watch Red Sox replay, I don't really care what he does, I
want to sleep for a few hours.
10 am Mom calls and wakes me for the day, saying they will be there at 3 pm (great 5 hours
notice, usually I get "Hi we are here, look outside"...not funny!
10:15 get up and shower
10:40 give B pain meds
10:45 walk puppies again
11:10 head to grocery store to get cake mix, I'm making cupcakes
11:20 get home and make cupcakes (store is .25 miles away, I love it)
11:35 get B up and showered...manage to get this done in 15 minutes today, I'm getting better.
11:50 cupcakes are out of the oven and next 12 are in
12:10 second batch are out
12:30 inform B that he is going to earn his keep and frost cupcakes, he does a great job!!!!
1 pm mother in law calls and says she is stopping by on her way home...at 2pm (sigh!)
1:10 vacuum, speed clean kitchen again (B is anal about cleanliness)
1:45 MIL arrives, I put puppies (Annabelle in crate) Riley in master bedroom on bed...MIL hates dogs! i hate crating my dogs when she visits, it's their home and they are very well behaved
she just hates all dogs...her visits are very stressful for me.
2:40 give B pain meds
2:45 my mom, dad, sister and brother arrive
2:50 mom gives me a stepping stone for garden, B asked her to pick it up from the puppies for
their mommy...he is so sweet and thoughtful, I love it by the way, it looks great in the
garden.
3pm we are all watching Legally Blond, and having fun, all but me...puppies are whining, my
heart is breaking
4:20 we eat...Chinese food, oh so good
5 pm I check on puppies both are doing great, I start to relax knowing MIL is leaving soon
5:15 MIL leaves I go in to get puppies....What the hell? Riley in the last 15 min managed to tear
apart my comforter, my good comforter, he was so good the last 15 min put him over the edge. He has not done this in 3yrs. I'm pissed beyond words and B knows it.
REMEMBER I LOVE MY MOTHER IN LAW!!!!
6pm mom and family say good bye
6:05 remember to put clothes in dryer, I have overtime tonight, oops!
7 pm get B back to bed to rest and elevate his legs, to reduce the swelling...on a happy note, B
woke up this morning with very little if any swelling, yeah!!!! Give B his pain meds.
7:15 I go to bed for a couple hours...I have Riley and Annabelle has gone to sleep with B (he loves having her in his room)
10:58 wake up and tell my self to get up and give B his pain meds...then remember that I placed
them in a cup next to his bed in case I didn't wake up in time
1 am alarm goes off telling me to get up and shower for work...check on B, he is awake and playing PSP, Annabelle is cuddled up close.
1:25 give B pain meds and his daily shot (prevents blood clots after surgery)
1:30 walk puppies
1:45 leave for overtime shift till 6am, not bad only four hours.
2:45 here I am blogging !!!
