Training will begin on 10/29/07

I'll start off by saying that I am going to stay committed to keeping up this blog as a record of my Half Marathon training program, which begins officially on Monday 10/29/07.
I have a 5K race on Sunday...a charity race in town...
Starting on Monday I will be following a very strict training program to get me ready for the Hyannis Half Marathon on February 24, 2008...Wow I can not believe that I'm going for it, However I am not going at it alone..see the Hubby has decided to run also.
He is my biggest supporter, and my biggest competitor.
He will also be following the same training plan, however he runs much faster than I.
(gives me something to shoot for, HIM)
As for everything else Riley (boxer) has been sick for the past couple of days, hopefully this will pass soon, we gave him miracle bread this morning and he seems to be fine, the vomiting is gone.(miracle bread is WW whole wheat bread toasted and fed dry), this stops the stomach gurgling almost instantly. He decided he needed mommy only attention and he and I took a nap together before I came to work tonight, when I say mommy only, he actually growled at Annabelle (beagle) when she pushed the door open to see what was going on, she left quick. I think I may have slept 5 hours total in the last 3 days, I'm hoping that if I go running when I get home, it will tire me out and I can finally get some much needed sleep. Oh sleep it does a body good. We will be dining on Pasta and sausage for dinner tonight, with side salad, it seems all we eat is pasta and salad these days, but I guess that's training. Don't get me wrong I love the carboloading!!!

Oh I must confess I had real ice cream today and I gotta tell ya, not all that impressed. It tasted good, but I was left wanting something more, by the way I love ice cream,
just not into it these days, hmh?
I have been drinking just under a gallon of water per 8 hours at work, now that's a lot of water in a short time, but if I don't drink it then I want to eat, and that is not going to aid weight loss, now is it?

Thanks a lot! I hope your teeth are floating to much from all that water, lol! Have a great time at work and do get some sleep. (this is my second day getting to sleep in until around 10am, hehe) :p
