WOW...

ok so it has been a few days, and in that time I have decided that I never want to be a single parent...I admire all of you out there, but it is not for me.
We had Kailyn on Monday and Tuesday and I finally managed to get some sleep on Tuesday night at 5:45pm..mind you I had not slept in 2 days and I had to be to work in less than 3 hours...so as you can imagine I was EXHAUSTED!!! B was able to help me most of the day but decided to run in the other direction every time she cried, however she didn't cry often. She was excellent as far as babies go, BUT I was physically and emotionally exhausted by the time I dropped her off with her mommy....all this being said.....I have Kailyn SOLO tomorrow as B has finally returned to work. This should make for an interesting Blog post tomorrow night...It technically is my night off but I picked up overtime from 2am - 6am..So I may get a few hours of sleep in between...B will be home by 3:15 and he is on Baby duty at that time.
Now as for B going back to work...he had a great day, it was not as bad as he thought it would be...so day one is over with and he can continue on...he is stuck doing intake interviews of new inmates...not so much fun when you are dealing with murderers, rapists and drug dealers but as he says it make for interesting conversation. He did manage to scare the crap out of me today...He leaves his unit at 2:50 pm and walks to the front of the prison, arrives there at 3pm, punches out and he should head to his Jeep and leave the complex, get on the highway and be home by 3:10pm...so imagine my confusion when at 3:10 he is not home or answering his cell...I wait a few more minutes and call him again, no answer..I call the prison and he is not at his desk, so connect to Outer Control and inquire as to his where abouts, nothing he left I am told...I try him again, nothing, I call his friend who I know also went back to work after having surgery..I get voice mail, I leave a message...I try B again, nothing Now I am about ready to call the state police and see if there were any accidents on the highway...as I am calling my police station my phone chimes in, it is B...I ask him where he is as it is now 4pm and he is over an hour late and I am worried...He tells me he has been at the prison standing on the steps talking to the superintendent and the deputy superintendent for over and hour and was on his way home. I panicked because this is the same man who called me on the way to work to tell me he forgot how fast people drive in the morning..I kindly explained to him that they were not driving fast he was driving "way to slow"...he is now just driving again and is a little cautious when it comes to the gas pedal...that is his second hip leg and he still favors it a little. I met him at the door thankful he was home was OK...I just love this man to pieces.
Annabelle hurled herself onto him as he made his way into the house, you would have sworn he was gone forever. She did not leave his side for the rest of the day. Riley on the other hand was happy he was home but continued to snuggle with mommy...he is mommy's boy.
