a relaxing day much needed

It was a very relaxing and much needed day at our house today. I got the puppies walked and fed all before 6:15am. B was up and ready for breakfast by the time I got back with the pups, yeah for small miracles. We enjoyed our breakfast together and I had him back in bed by 7am, and I was off to get a little shut eye. I managed to sleep till about 11am...sounds good right? I didn't actually fall asleep till after 9am, so I got maybe 2/2.5 hours of sleep, nice, restful...NOT! I got up and took the puppies for another walk and upon returning home, B was up and in the living room waiting for us, 2 miracles in one day, yeah!!!! I got lunch served and the phone rang to advise us that his therapist would be arriving between 2:30 and 3pm, well she showed up at 3:15pm, not quite on time, but oh well. B had a great session with PT, she states he is right on track for hip #2. B is thrilled with the progress he is making and can't wait to get the next surgery over with, so he can start recovering and getting on to getting better. Thankfully his spirits are right in line with his progress, he is upbeat and thriving emotionally, thank goodness. After PT he went back to bed to rest for a while, as he was resting I decided that I would lay down too. I went to bed and brought Riley with me, Annabelle was sleeping with her daddy. I went right out, I must have been exhausted, because I never heard B get up at 7:30 and make himself dinner (miracle #3 today) At 9pm my alarm went off and sleeping beside me was Annabelle, imagine my surprise to find her there, knowing she can't open doors on her own, now I'm worried and I race into B's room and find him playing PSP, laughing because he knows exactly why I came rushing in...not funny, honey. I get ready for work and tell B that I will be in to give him his meds and his shot before I leave for work, ah, now it's payback to his little joke, he hates getting the shots. His shot is post op to prevent blood clots, so he has no choice but to allow the puncture wound, hee hee. I left for work, and told him to call me if he needed anything, no call as of yet, it's 3:17 am.
