Eight more days and B goes back to work!!!
I can not wait. I will finally get the house to myself and can SLEEP! I can get the puppies back on my sleep schedule and we can enjoy the joys of slumber. B however is not as excited as I am. He is not happy about going back to work, he is already dreading the first day. He will only have a four day week his first one back, and he is on light duty for 4 weeks and then it is as they say "back to the big house" the guys in his unit can not wait for him to get back and pick up some of the interviews they have had to do since he's been out. He will be fine, not everyone gets the entire summer off, sure it wasn't an ideal situation but we managed to get in a few things before returning to work.
He had his left hip replaced on May1, 2008, his right hip replaced on May22, 2008.
He rehabbed (physical therapy) for 12 weeks and in that time he went from using a walker to crutches, to one crutch, to a cane, and finally walking on his own.
While he was rehabbing we managed to get out and about...
We went on a whale watch.
We went to the beach.
We went to a Paw Sox game.
We went to Fenway Park.
We went to another Paw Sox game.
We are going back to a Paw Sox game.
We visited with out of town friends.
We went outlet shopping.
We enjoyed every day we got to spend together, he truly is my best friend, and I would do it all over again if asked....
Oh wait, I will be in about 15/20 yrs...
Replacement parts as the doctor says, no big deal, like changing a tire, in and out.
