Race Day!!!

Finally the wait is over Race Day is here.

We are running the Billy Kelly 5K race today. It feels like forever since the last one, way back on October 18th. Actually it was a month ago exactly, little things amaze me, hee hee. We were planning to have dinner with friends there, but are attending a baby shower closer to home instead. It should be an action packed day, Hubby tells me he is running today but I have a feeling this will not be a PR for him, his back is still sore and stiff. He's hoping to finish in a respectable 35 min...his PR is 29:31, so he's giving himself some walking room. I'm hoping for a PR on this course, but I'll take anything. The weather looks to be about 35/40 degrees, a lilttle chilly, but we are New England's we can handle it. Hubby has his Under Armour all set out and ready to go, he says he will be warm no matter what the temp. Let me tell you that while he was training for the State Police Academy I went out and bought him cold weather gear for his training, how nice of me I know. I on the other hand was not running and had absolutely NO plans of ever running let alone in the cold, so I have nothing for cold temperatures... I'm going to freeze my bippy off today. I truly believe that I will freeze today, I'm usually pretty good about not being a wimp with the cold, but I can feel alot of whining coming on, BIG TIME!!! I plan on borrowing his Under Armour Cold weather long sleeve tek-shirt,

its a XXL and I wear a women's medium, so this should be interesting.

Actually the fit is pretty good, it's loose on me, but on him its a compression shirt.

I really hope it keeps the cold out.

I now have 3 whole days off from work, yeah!!!!

I actually only work 15 more days this year.

WOW, that is really good news. Hubby is very jealous...

He only has a week vacation in December...which just happens to be our 3 year anniversary. WE are planning to go out for dinner to the restaurant where we held our reception, inviting some friends that were also there that night. It should be a blast...can't wait.
