Well so far, so good; however, I need to step up the running in order to make goal for the week, I've done 8 miles and need to do 12 by Saturday night. We are running this morning when I get out of work at 6am, I'm going to run at least 5, maybe 6 miles. If I get in fewer than 6, I will be running this afternoon when I get up, I have a nice 2 mile loop around the house which is fairly flat, I could do that , plus the 6 and have 8 on the day...that would only leave me with 4 for tomorrow. I should know better than to skip days...some days you just feel like "arhhh running." I usually feel great after I run, it's just getting there that's the hard part. I promise to be better next week and get all the running in on the run days, and not make up for it at the end of the week. The rain can stop anytime, I love the rain but I prefer running outside and with it being so raw I prefer not to get sick so soon in the season....So I just checked my training log for this week and next..wow not sure where I learned to add, but this week was 5 days of running...3,3,4,3,4 miles = 17 miles, not sure where I got 20 miles?
So really I'm not that far off goal...
I could do 4.5 and 4.5 and be done and on goal,
but I think I will push myself to get in the whole miscalculated 20 miles...
Next week its 21 miles
(yes, I did the math correctly)
4,3,5,4,5 = 21 miles.
Found out with the rain and cooler temperatures I have no long sleeve wicking running shirts, so I will be shopping this weekend for some, maybe there will be some at the race on Sunday for sale. If not I will drag B to the Natick Mall, as we will already be there.
