The picture says it all!!!
Jon Lester gets the win and the Red Sox get the title.
Red Sox sweep Rockies !!!!
2007 World Series Champions
Some waited 86 years to see the Championship brought to Boston,
I've seen it done twice now in 4 years!!!!
Ok now my personal important stuff...
I ran my first 5K (all other races have been 5 MILES)
I ran my first 5K (all other races have been 5 MILES)
Miles for Myles 5K
I had a great time, ran or at least started off with Brian beside me,
but as he noticed friends running ahead of him, he couldn't help but get uber-competitive.
So the story goes... I watch and waited for the cloud of dust to dissipate before
I continued on my own personal challenge, and I set a PR...yeah!!!!!
I know I am not the fastest runner in the lot, but my goal has never been to win; it has always been to finish in a respectable time, and that my friends I did!!!!
We had a great time pre-race seeing some old friends
and after the race hanging out with some new ones.
The racing community is wonderful.
They are so supportive and always willing to cheer you on.
I love feeling as though I am part of something bigger than myself,
and today was all about raising money for a good cause,
oh and the t-shirt.I now have a growing collection of race day shirts.
When asked if I'll ever wear one? Hmm? Not sure, but I like
having them hang in the spare room and knowing
I worked my butt off for them!
Although...
I will wear this years Iron Girl shirt in next years race to prove I am a repeat runner!!!
I can't thank the Iron Girl organization enough, If my first experience, and had not been so rewarding and wonderful, I may never have entered another race, now I'm addicted...
