September

Well it is finally September here in Massachusetts, that mean kids go back to school, you can shop in the middle of the day without kids running around, you can go to the movies and see it quietly, and most of all it means the heat is going away!!!! I love the Fall, I don't mind the winter, but I hate; I mean I hate the summer.
I have my IRONGIRL race in 3 days, I'm now starting to get nervous, really nervous, hey it's 5 miles. I checked out the course online last night and it seems OK. It appears to be four 1.25 mile loops, so it should be OK. Hubby can't wait for it to be over, he's more nervous than I am, and I'm the one running; again I'm running distance NOT time. I really want the medal at the finish line to me that's like winning the lottery. they tell you to eat carbs before the race, which I've been doing, and get plenty of water. There is a breakfast set up at the finish line with pastries, donuts, coffee and juice. Did someone say donuts? I promise to limit myself to 2, and drink the juice...it's stated in the letter to runners that you should consume 300-500 calories immediately after the race, so I will, I mean I should follow their advise, they are the experts.
